Watch (video) Bills rookie QB Nate Peterman and WR Zay Jones connect on deep ball at Sr. Bowl

Back in January, Buffalo Bills beat reporter Joe Buscaglia took a video of then Pittsburgh QB Nate Peterman hitting East Carolina WR Zay Jones on a deep double move in the back of the endzone. It was only during live practice at the Senior Bowl but the highlight served as one of many for the rookies that week as each bolstered their draft stock with solid performances. Check out the Peterman to Jones highlight below, courtesy of Joe B and @WKBW:

And who says Nate Peterman doesn’t have a strong-arm and Zay Jones can’t stretch the field? In all seriousness, Peterman does a good job of fooling the defensive back with the pump fake and then lays the ball right in there to Jones who just burns his defender and makes a hands catch for the touchdown.

Fast forward a few months and the two are on the same team again but this time with the Buffalo Bills. Looking back at that pass proves to be quite prophetic and may serve as a glimpse into what the future holds. I’m sure Bills fans’ could get used to this!
