There’s a recently posted video of Carmelo Anthony and Joakim Noah putting in some on-court work together that’s creating quite a buzz on social media. You can tell its July in the NBA when stuff like this go viral, however these new teammates do look poised to bring back a winning brand of basketball to New York.
In just a few short weeks, New York Knicks President Phil Jackson has re-energized the team and its fan base with a string of splashy moves. From acquiring Derrick Rose via trade with the Chicago Bulls to signing Brandon Jennings and Courtney Lee in free agency, there’s now surprisingly an influx of talent and veteran leadership in the Big Apple.
And as exciting as those aforementioned guards will be to watch at the Garden this season, the Knicks added (and invested heavily for) some much-needed toughness in Manhattan-born and former Chicago Bulls big man Noah.

It’s common for NBA players to work out together in the off-season given how small of a fraternity the league can be. Still, it’s definitely exciting for Knicks fans’ to see a seemingly healthy Noah running through drills and gaining on-court rapport with Anthony.
What do you think? Are you happy Phil gave Joakim Noah 4-years and a big pile of cash or not? Weigh in below!
