As of Tuesday morning, there hasn’t been any new developments regarding Percy Harvin and his current playing status for the Buffalo Bills. After missing a week 6 matchup vs. the Cincinnati Bengals with a hip injury, it was announced that he wouldn’t make the trip to London with the team because of personal reasons.

Rumors have been swirling since then, with reports ranging from Harvin considering retirement to him simply nursing injuries. Rex Ryan did make it point during one of his press conferences to say he did not know where Percy was at the time though, never a good indication for a head coach and his player. Among all the hot takes and speculation, former Buffalo Bills running back Travis Henry popped up on the Twitter machine to offer the receiver his support:

Mr. Henry’s tweet peaked my interest so I asked the former workhorse, who rushed for 3,849 yards (5th-most in team history) and 27 touchdowns for the Bills from 2001-04, about what he would say to Harvin. He had a great response:

I think most people, along with Harvin could agree with what he’s saying, especially when it comes from a guy who’s been in the spotlight before. Henry used to be one of the top running backs in the league until multiple issues forced him out of the NFL in 2008. Now from the recent looks of it, Travis is doing well and enjoying life after football. And offering advice on the weekends!

Hopefully, Percy Harvin can work through whatever is going on, whether it’s injuries or other matters and will come out the other end for the better. Regardless of the speculation, he’s part of the #BillsMafia, so here’s to our support for #18!
